Williamstown Theatre Festival has been an invaluable part of our local Williamstown and Berkshires community and culture since its inception in 1955. Featuring some of the country’s finest actors, directors, designers, and playwrights, the summer 2020 season is poised to be an exciting addition to the history of the festival.
The season will open with a fresh and unique take on the Tennessee Williams classic, A Streetcar Named Desire. Directed by Robert O’Hara, this production will star award-winning actors Audra McDonald, Carla Gugino, and Bobby Cannavale. Closing the main stage for the summer will be Photograph 51 directed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman.
In addition to the two classic shows, WTF 2020 will also feature five world premieres:
A Cult of Love
Wish You Were Here
Chonburi International Hotel & Butterfly Club
Row
Animals
